Ruger Single Nine Revolver

Just announced: the Ruger Single Nine revolver.

The Single Nine is a single action, 9-shot revolver chambered for the .22 WMRF (aka 22 Magnum and 22 WMR). The gun features the classic Ruger styling, stainless steel finish and hardwood grips.

The new revolver weighs in at 39 ounces and has a 6.5″ barrel. The rear sight is adjustable and the front sight is a Williams fiber optic sight that is also adjustable. MSRP is $629.

The Single Nine is a nice extension to the Single Six line of handguns Ruger has made for years. Previously introduced was the Single Ten, a ten round revolver chambered for the .22 LR cartridge. Ruger already makes six-round versions of the gun in .22 Mag, but this is their first nine-rounder.

As is typical with Ruger in recent years, there was no pre-announcement of this gun. They simply rolled it out when they were ready to ship. I do wonder how many of these guns will be available considering the company’s significant backlog of firearms orders. Earlier this year, Ruger ceased taking orders because of the huge backlog.

From Ruger:

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is proud to announce the Ruger Single-Nine a nine-shot, single-action revolver chambered in .22 Winchester Magnum.

The Single-Nine features a nine-shot cylinder and is constructed from durable satin-finished stainless steel. With a 6.5-inch barrel and smooth, hardwood, “Gunfighter” grips, the Single-Nine is well-balanced and points easily. Williams fiber optic sights, click-adjustable for both windage and elevation, provide a crisp sight picture that is enhanced with front and rear fiber optic inserts.

“The Single-Nine builds upon the success of the Single-Ten,” remarked Mike Fifer, Ruger President and CEO. “The higher capacity cylinder is sure to please fans of the powerful .22 Magnum cartridge, and the 6.5-inch barrel helps the .22 Magnum reach more of its velocity potential. The trim, “Gunfighter” grips and fiber optic sights make the Single-Nine easy to point and aim,” he continued.

Hi Larry,
Thanks for reading the site and taking the time to comment. I do not sell anything on this site. I’d recommend trying Brownells if your local gun shops are not able to get you what you need.
Best,
Richard

Just picked up my very own Single 9 n shot it today. Sweet pistol! BTW, all single action pistols are exempt from the CA DOJ roster BS. Almost no recoil, love the Williams sights n it feels good in my hand. Gonna clean her, oil her up n get ready for the next range trip…n the next…n the next. 😎
