If you are looking for the quickest way to burn money in today’s handgun market, you may want to take a look at the special Arsenal Firearms AF-2011 kit being offered by the International Firearms Corporation.
The base AF-2011 pistol is a double barrel 1911-style pistol chambered in either .45 ACP or .38 Super. These oversized pistols appear to be two of John Browning’s pistols that melted into a single, oversized block.
Possibly the best feature about the original 1911 pistol is the way it fits the hand. Forget about that same feel in the AF-2011. These pistols are 1.97″ thick, making them unwieldy for all but the largest of hands. They are not lightweight either. Unloaded, this gun weighs more than four pounds. For about the same weight you could have three Glock 19 pistols.
Although the company claims otherwise, the guns are no more than a gimmick serving as a modern curio for those with the money to sink into one. The guns are not cheap with prices starting at $4,799. But this set goes above and beyond with a price tag of $18,916.
For the extra $14k or so, the owner gets a stainless steel finished gun in .38 Super. Sets can also be had with a double barrel .45 ACP pistol. This set comes with a mahogany presentation box and custom carry gear. A brown crocodile skin holster, belt and magazine pouch are included.
Less expensive sets that use water buffalo and ostrich are also available.
My initial impression of the Arsenal Firearms company was decidedly poor. When I encountered them at the 2013 SHOT Show, I found their representatives to be uninformed and self-absorbed. The reps appeared to be more interested in determining who had the best fashion sense rather in doing business.
It is possible that the importer – International Firearms Corporation – will be more interested in doing business than the people I met at the SHOT Show. However, someone using an International Firearms Corporation e-mail has been using copy & paste to post an identical comment and link to the comments section of several of my posts advertising their position as the importer of this gun.
Additionally, it looks like the same comment and link was used on other websites. This is generally regarded as “comment spam.” It is not appreciated, especially when you can so easily contact me directly to communicate legitimate news. Hopefully, this was just an overeager intern’s mistake and not indicative of the company’s future marketing.

Seriously? This exemplifies the saying: “A fool and his money are soon parted.”
Just saw one of these at my local shop yesterday, think it was $6000.00. I dont know if it came with the fancy box though.
Hi Sam,
That was probably the “base” model. I think those start at around $5k. (Yeah – $5k for the base model…)
Richard
Um…yeah. For $19,000 I can get a custom Barrett 82A1 plus a few cases of 50 BMG.
