The folks from Laura Burgess Marketing put up a video of the Vector line of firearms from KRISS USA. Â Evan McNamara introduces the viewers to the Vector line of guns including the carbine, SMG, SBR and pistol models. Â All of the KRISS Vector firearms are chambered in .45 ACP and use the standard Glock 21 magazine. Â KRISS also makes a magazine extension, taking the Glock mag to 30 rounds.
The carbine is a civillian legal, semi-auto version of the gun with a 16″ barrel. Â The SBR, or short barrel rifle, is similar to the carbine, but has a 5.5″ barrel. Â The short barrel requires a Federal tax stamp, which is obtainable by all citizens – it just takes time, money and is a hassle. Â But hey, that pretty much sums up dealing with any government agency, doesn’t it?
The handgun is essentially the Vector SBR without a stock.  It is manufactured as a pistol, so it does not require any special stamps and is completely civilian legal.  Throw a sling on it and you can handle this a little better than a traditional looking handgun and not quite as good as a rifle or carbine with a shoulder stock.
The SMG is for government sales only. Â It is unfortunate that most people will never get to shoot one, as these things are extremely fun to shoot. Â With burst fire, the shooter can really see how well the Vector recoil reduction system works. Â Unfortunately, the government has determined that law abiding citizens are not to be trusted with such a gun.
The folks here at GunsHolstersAndGear.com got to shoot the KRISS SMG at the 2010 SHOT Show. Â Check out the video and see what I mean about the lack of recoil. Â The gun is very easy to shoot and the recoil reduction system is no joke or gimmick.
