Plano recently announced a new line of storage trunks in collaboration with the Bone Collector hunting series. Named the Bone Collector Sportsman’s Trunks these new containers are designed to provide ample storage and prevent clothing from becoming contaminated by other scents.
Using four over-sized, lockable latches to tightly clamp down the removable lid, with its thick rubber gasket, the Sportsman’s Trunks are both waterproof and dustproof. The lid rests snugly on hinges allowing it to open like a treasure chest if desired. The base and lid are designed with grooves that allow stacking of multiple trunks. There are carry handles molded into the sides of the trunk allowing for carrying, and durable wheels allowing easier movement when heavily loaded.
As an avid hunter I have storage bins to keep all of my gear during the off season, but these new Plano trunks have me seriously considering purchasing some to store gear in my truck during hunting season. With the trunks in my truck I can keep all of my gear nicely stowed and organized, and yet easily accessible if the chance to hunt comes up with short notice.
The Plano Bone Collector Sportman’s Trunks come in black and Plano camouflage. That camouflage is olive green with swirls and specks of white, yellow, and orange plastic intertwined in the base of olive. There are three available sizes.
