If you are looking for 9×18 Makarov ammunition for self-defense, you may have had a hard time finding a load that meets your needs. Unlike the .380 ACP or the 9mm Parabellum (aka Luger or 9×19), the Makarov round does not enjoy a wide range of commercially loaded hollow point ammo.
Double Tap Defense Factory Tour
Ever toured a gun factory? A few companies invite the public on guided tours, but walking the factory floor is something normally not done by people outside of the company’s employ. Caracal announced today a recall of every C model pistol the company has ever made. Â The recall is not limited to any specific serial numbers or market.

Caracal has completely revamped their pistol product line, eliminating the original F, C and SC models and replacing them with the CP660, CP661 and CP662 handguns. Additionally, the company introduced two completely new pistols: the CP663 and CP664.
According to Caracal, the new pistols offer “enhanced performance, interchangeable features and improved safety units.” What this specifically means, remains to be seen. But, I am guessing it relates to the complete recall of all Caracal C pistols. Here is what we know so far…
