O.F. Mossberg & Sons is the latest manufacturer to jump into the deep end of the pool with NFA weapons. We’ve seen other major companies like Ruger start selling suppressors, and now Mossberg is offering 12 gauge AOWs.

SCCY CPX-3 Preview
SCCY will officially announce a new .380 ACP pistol at the 2015 NASGW Expo & Annual Meeting. Called the CPX-3, the new handgun will be slightly smaller than the existing CPX-1 and -2 pistols with some upgrades that make it the best shooting gun in the company’s current line-up.
Let’s take a look at the gun and its new features…
Taurus Curve – Another Oddball Pistol
The Taurus Curve is the latest new pistol from our Brazilian friends. Taurus International is now making a pistol that is designed to be carried for self-defense, but could be one of the more difficult designs to shoot.
What makes this pistol different from other designs is that the polymer frame is curved – hence the name. In theory, this could make the gun more comfortable to carry though I have my reservations (more on that in a moment.)
The Curve is chambered for the .380 ACP cartridge and it holds six rounds in the magazine. The barrel is 2.5″ long and has a slant cut at the muzzle.
New SIG P290 ORB: Oil Rubbed Bronze
SIG Sauer announced a new version of the P290 pistol. Â The SIG P290 ORB is functionally identical to the P290 ES I previously reviewed, but it has an oil rubbed bronze coated slide. Â This is the same finish used on the popular SIG 1911 Spartan pistol that we saw at this year’s SHOT Show.
The new pistols also use G-10 grip panels similar to the ones on the ES model. Â However, the new grip panels have a color pattern that matches the bronze color of the slide better than the original ES grips.
New SIG M400 Rifles
SIG Sauer is now showing two new M400 rifles on their website: the Predator and the Muddy Girl. Â The guns address two distinctly different markets for the AR-15 rifle market.
The new SIG M400 Predator rifle is designed for long range precision: for either hunting or competition. Â Chambered for the 5.56 NATO, the rifle uses a 18″ barrel made of 416 stainless steel. Â The barrel has a 1:8″ twist rate.
